The MeToo accused lyricist mentioned mental illness-related terms in the post

Lyricist Vairamuthu took to his social media on Friday morning to pen a cryptic note that mentioned mental illness terms such as 'Messianic Delusional Disorder.' He used the Tamil equivalent of words such as 'Brain Damange' and 'Life Failures' in what came across as a response to an accusation.

Even though he hasn't confirmed if the incident in reference to his post was related to him being accused of sexual harassment, Vairamuthu's tweet comes a few days after he was accused by singer Suchitra. The singer had said in a recent interview that Vairamuthu had invited her to his house on the pretence of giving her a gift and that she had taken her grandmother along with her for the meet-up, after which he handed over two shampoo bottles to her as the said gift.

Last week, Vairamuthu was called out on social media for his comments on the Hema Committee report. After he advocated for similar committees across all industries, several people questioned the lyricist, who himself has been accused of sexually exploiting multiple women.
