The trailer for Petta Rap, the upcoming Prabhu Deva film, was unveiled on Friday. Written by Dinil PK, Petta Rap marks the Tamil directorial debut of SJ Sinu, who is known for helming Malayalam films like Theru (2023) and Djibouti (2021).

The trailer shows Prabhu Deva as an aspiring actor who has a flair for dance and stunt sequences. However, like any other newbie in the industry he has challenges to enter the cinema field.

Apart from Prabhu Deva, Petta Rap also stars Vedhika in the lead. Bagavathi Perumal, Vivek Prasanna, Ramesh Thilak, Mime Gopi, and Riyaz Khan are also part of the cast.

Jobi P Sam is the producer of Petta Rap, which will feature cinematography by Jithu Damodhar, editing by Nishadh Yusuf, and music composed by D Imman. The film has cleared censorship formalities with a U/A certificate.

Petta Rap will be released in theatres alongside Vijay Antony's Hitler and Karthi's Meiyazhagan, on September 27.
