GV Prakash reunites with Selvaraghavan for a new film

Composer-Singer GV Prakash, who is working on multiple projects, took to his social media handles to announce that he is joining hands with director Selvaraghavan once again for a new film.

"After Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna... A new beginning... A new journey starts today," GV Prakash wrote on his social media handles. Although he didn't specify the name of the film, the composer had specified in a comment that it is for a "new script and a new project."

GV Prakash and director Selvaraghavan had previously collaborated for Aayirathil Oruvan (2010) starring Karthi in the lead role and Dhanush's Mayakkam Enna (2011). He had also lent his voice to one song each in the two films.

GV Prakash last composed for Vikram's latest film Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith. Up next, he has a slew of upcoming films as a composer including Kangana Ranaut's Emergency, Dulquer Salmaan's Lucky Baskhar and Akshay Kumar's Sky Force. In Tamil, he is working on Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran, Dhanush's Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Arun Vijay's Vanangaan, Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran and others.

On the acting front, he was last seen in Dear, directed by Anand Ravichandran. He has Idimuzhakkam, 13 and Kingston in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan last directed Dhanush's Naane Varuvean in 2022. He was recently seen in Raayan, directed by Dhanush who also starred in the lead role.
