The combo of Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil is reuniting with Maareesan after the praise the actors won for their performances in Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan.
The makers of Maareesan released a special character poster of Vadivelu as the actor turned 64 today.
Maareesan, directed by Sudheesh Shankar, was announced earlier this year. The film's first look poster was captioned "The hunt and the hunter", suggesting the nature of the character played by either of the two main leads. Details about the plot and the rest of the cast are kept under wraps. The Malayalam filmmaker has previously made Venal Kinavukal (1991), Aarumaname (2009), and Villali Veeran (2014). He has also made some TV serials.
The film is the 98th production venture of RB Choudhary's illustrious Super Good Films. Maareesan's technical crew comprises cinematographer Kalaiselvan Sivaji, editor Sreejith Sarang, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
