The makers of Karthi-Aravind Swami's upcoming film Meiyazhagan released the film's teaser on Saturday.

The teaser video, without opening up about the premise, focuses on the dynamics shared between the characters played by Karthi and Aravind Swami. The glimpse shows Karthi's character Meiyazhagan meeting his brother-in-law (Aravind Swami) at a wedding. Meiyazhagan is an annoying nephew who invades the private space of his brother-in-law and asks him uncomfortable questions in an innocent way.

Meiyazhagan is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their 2D Entertainment banner.

Sri Divya will play the female lead in the film, which will also have Saran Shakti and Rajkiran in prominent roles. The rest of the cast includes Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sri Ranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran, Rachel Rebecca, Anthony, Rajkumar, Indumati, Rani Samyukta, Kayal Subramani, and Ashok Pandian.

Meiyazhagan has cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju and editing by R Govindraj. The film reunites Govind Vasantha and Prem Kumar after their blockbuster soundtrack in 96.

Meiyazhagan is all set for theatrical release on September 27.
