However many performances actors put in, their looks and clothing are the factors with which they are often judged. Even Nayanthara faces such judgement. The actor denied undergoing plastic surgery in a recent interview. She told Hauterrfly, "I take the time to perfect it because it’s the real game-changer. I have had different brow phases over the years. Maybe that’s why people think my face is changing and I keep looking different. Maybe, that’s why a lot of people think I have done something to my face. But that’s not true. On record… not true."
She went on to add, "Not that it’s wrong; but for me, it has just been diet. So, there’s been a lot of weight fluctuation and my cheeks go in and out. You can pinch me, burn me, you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.” Citing the Kadhambari makeover in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015) as her favourite, the actor stated, “She’s fun, unique and has a style of her own. We wanted to break the image of what a physically challenged person is usually portrayed like. And I love the fact that we could make her look fun."
Nayanthara will next be seen in Test, alongside Madhavan, Meera Jasmine, and Siddharth. The actor's upcoming projects also include Mookuthi Amman 2 with filmmaker Sundar C, the sequel to her 2020 feature with actor-director RJ Balaji.
