Coming as an unambiguous signal yet about actor-politician Vijay's future in cinema, he hinted at his maiden political conference that he will hang his boots as an actor forever.

In his over 40-minute speech, he said he is a toddler who doesn't clearly know yet how to react if faced by a snake (meaning politics). He added that he is going to take politics seriously and will not look back. He also said he 'threw away' his thriving career for the people, as there is no use in piling up wealth after a point.

Among his major ideologies are political policy-making free off religious and caste bias, following Periyar's tenets except atheism (will rather follow Annadurai's Ondre Kulam Oruvaney Thevan—one community under one God), creating an administrative branch of the TN assembly in Madurai, a caste-based census for proportionate reservation, two-language policy, gender equality on every level of administration, and retrieval of marshlands.

Another major announcement that he made in last evening's meeting was that the BJP is his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's, ideological enemy and DMK is their political enemy. However, he only made oblique references without mentioning these parties' names.
