During the audio launch function of his upcoming action film Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan narrated an incident with Ajith Kumar after the release of his 2022 film Prince. The film, which had gotten released on Diwali, wasn't well received, making Sivakarthikeyan's state of mind rather upset.

"Ajith sir shook my hands and told me, 'Welcome to big league. People are seeing your growth and getting insecure.' I didn't understand it back then. Being my senior, one would expect him to give me remarks on how to do things. Only then did I realise that I needed to understand the deeper meaning behind people endorsing me. If someone tells me how to rectify errors, that is an endorsement. If someone tells me my career is over, it isn't." This was met with applause from the audiences.

Recently, Sivakarthikeyan made a special appearance in Vijay's GOAT, wherein Vijay symbolically passes the baton for Tamil cinema to him. This led to a lot of discussion about Sivakarthikeyan; while some people encouraged the actor and agreed with tagging him with the future of Tamil cinema, some began to disagree.

The technical crew of the Rajkumar Periyasamy film includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. Amaran is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.

The film hits screens this Diwali, on October 31.
