The makers of Phoenix, the directorial debut of action choreographer Anl Arasu, announced on Friday that the film will hit theatres on November 14. The film, which is also called Veezhaan, introduces Surya, son of Vijay Sethupathi, in a lead role and also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Harish Uthaman.

The previously released teaser of Phoenix shows Surya as a professional boxer who is imprisoned for some reason. While we see him give importance to his sport as much as he gives importance to his life, we also see another party planning a jailbreak.

Surya has previously made appearances as a child artist in his father's films Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Sindhubaadh. The star cast of Phoenix, apart from the lead actors, includes Muthukumar, Sampath, Dileepan, Vignesh, Varsha Viswanath, Abi Nakshatra, Sathya NJ, 'Atti' Rishi, and Poovaiyar.

The technical crew of Phoenix, produced by AK Braveman Picturess' Rajalakshmy Arasakumar, comprises music director Sam CS, cinemetographer R Velraj, editor Praveen KL, stunt choreographer 'Anl' Arasu, and executive producer MS Murugaraj.
