Actor-cinematographer Natraj Subramaniam, or Natty, who was last seen in Hiphop Adhi's Kadaisi Ulaga Por, has joined hands with director Charles for the film Aandavan Avatharam. The director had previously made Nanjupuram, Azhagu Kutti Sellam, and Saalai.

The sci-fi film's shoot commenced with a formal pooja. The makers of Aandavan Avatharam say Natty would be seen in a dual role for the first time.

The director said he initially wanted to name the film Avatharam, but he didn't out of respect for the film made by veteran actor Nasar. Adding about Natty, Charles continued saying he has designed the characters of Natty in a way that defies the conventional father-son or brother-brother relationship. The film also stars actor Raghav.

Charles, apart from working on story, screenplay and dialogues, is also doubling up as a producer under his banner Light, Sound & Magic. The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Balamurugan, music composers Navneeth and Raghav, and editor Praveen Bhaskar.
