With the release of a Rajinikanth film, it is a given to have a flurry of best wishes and messages drumming up the anticipation surrounding it, and the actor's film with director TJ Gnanavel Vettaiyan is no exception. Earlier today, actor Suriya posted one such message, conveying his best wishes to the team behind the Rajinikanth-Amitabh Bachchan starrer.

Taking to X, Suriya shared, "Hearty wishes Vettaiyan. I’m sure the film will be thought-provoking and entertaining. Warm welcome with lots of respect to Tamil Amitabh Bachchan sir, best wishes to Rajinikanth sir, our TJ Gnanavel, and the fabulous cast and crew."

It is worth noting that Suriya's Kanguva was initially slated for an October 10 release, but its makers postponed it to November 14 to avoid a clash with the TJ Gnanavel directorial.

At the Kanguva trailer launch, Suriya said that it is ideal that his film not clash with Vettaiyan on the same date and that Rajnikanth is a more senior actor who has long been the identity of Tamil cinema.

Suriya's upcoming films include Kanguva, the Siva directorial also starring Bobby Deol in his Tamil debut, and his 44th film with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj.
