The Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan released today in theatres worldwide, and social media is buzzing with fan reactions and expert opinion. Amid all this, a video that is trending on social networking websites shows Dhanush and his son Yatra attending a screening of the TJ Gnanavel directorial at Chennai's Rohini Theatre alongside Rajinikanth's family and fans. The clip includes Rajinikanth's spouse Latha Rajinikanth and daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth, as well as his nephew cum Vettaiyan's music composer Anirudh. Vettaiyan director Gnanavel is also visible in it, besides actors Dushara Vijayan and Rohini. According to reports, filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni also attended the screening.

With Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is reuniting with Amitabh Bachchan after 30 years; they last worked together in 1994's Hum. Besides Amitabh in his Tamil debut, the starstudded cast of Vettaiyan also includes Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Rana Daggubati, and Ritika Singh.
