Coming latest in the cast announcements of Thalapathy 69, actor Pooja Hegde has joined the project with Vijay in the lead and H Vinoth as the director.

She previously worked with Vijay in Beast (2022), directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Bobby Deol will be part of the star cast. With Thalapathy 69 being his sophomore in Tamil cinema, Deol will be making his debut in Suriya starrer Kanguva, which is releasing on November 14 this year.

The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana of Karnataka-based KVN Productions, while Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serve as the co-producers. The production house is known for giving out films such as Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (2023), 777 Charlie (2022), and Vikrant Rona (2022).

H Vinoth started his career with thrillers like Sathuranga Vettai (2014) and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017). His last three films have starred Ajith Kumar in the lead, namely Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), Valimai (2022), and Thunivu (2023).

Back in February this year, Vijay officially confirmed his foray into politics and named his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Recently, the flag for his party was unveiled.

Thalapathy 69 is expected to go on floors this month and will be releasing in October 2025.
