Actor Mamitha Baiju is the latest to join the cast of Vijay's upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth.

She joins the earlier announced cast members Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde. Details regarding the other actors who have onboarded the film are expected to be announced in the upcoming days. The project marks Vijay's final film before his full-fledged entry into politics.

Thalapathy 69 will be Mamitha's second Tamil film after she starred in GV Prakash's Rebel, directed by RS Nikesh earlier this year. This project is also Bobby Deol's second Tamil film. His upcoming film Kanguva, starring Suriya in the lead role, is set for release on November 14 this year. Pooja Hegde is meanwhile reuniting with Vijay after starring alongside him in Beast (2022), directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

On the technical crew, Anirudh has been roped in as the music composer for Thalapathy 69. Other members of the technical crew have been kept under wraps. The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana of Karnataka-based KVN Productions, while Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serve as the co-producers.
