Vignesh Shivan reveals his script for Ajith 62 was like Aavesham

Vignesh Shivan was in line to direct Ajith's 62nd film before he exited the project owing to creative differences

Vignesh Shivan is a fan of the Fahadh Faasil starrer Aavesham. When the Jithu Madhavan directorial came out in April this year, Vignesh called the film "wacky" and "outstanding" while praising it for its writing, execution, and Fahadh Faasil's performance. Incidentally, the filmmaker had written a screenplay similar to Aavesham for Ajith.

In a recent roundtable conversation held by Galatta Plus, he said, "When I saw Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham, my script for Ajith sir was somewhere in that zone. For me to imagine something like that with Ajith sir, it would've been a very different film."

It is worth noting that Vignesh Shivan was in line to direct Ajith's 62nd film. However, he had exited the project over creative differences with its producer. Later, Magizh Thirumeni replaced him in the project, which has now been titled Vidaamuyarchi, whose teaser trailer dropped the other day on Lyca Productions' YouTube channel. Recently, Vignesh also wished Magizh well on the project with Ajith.
