Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu's father, Joesph Prabhu is no more. On Friday, the actor took to her official Instagram handle to share a story in which she wrote, "Until we meet again, Dad," along with a broken heart emoji. The cause behind her father's demise is yet to be known.

Samantha was born to Joseph Prabhu and Ninette Prabhu. Her father was a Telugu Anglo-Indian. The actor has often spoken fondly of her father, calling him an inspiration. Apart from Samantha and her mother, Joseph is survived by his sons, Jonath and David.

On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny. The series, which also stars Varun Dhawan, opened to positive reviews. She currently has Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom in the pipeline, in which she will be seen alongside Ali Fazal.
