Sivakarthikeyan felicitated by Officers Training Academy for portraying Major Mukund Varadarajan in Amaran

The Officers Training Academy has honoured Sivakarthikeyan with a momento for portraying Major Mukund Varadarajan phenomenally, in Amaran. The makers made the announcement by sharing photos of the actor being felicitated. 

Helmed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan and Sai Pallavi as his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese. The film also stars Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh and Rahul Bose as Mukund's Commanding Officer, Colonel Amit Singh Dabas. Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman and Gaurav Venkatesh round up the supporting cast. Amaran is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Millitary. 

Amaran tells the story of Mukund Varadarajan's life in the army and his brave stint in the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir. The film also explores the relationship that Mukund and Indhu share.

Amaran's crew includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. The film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions. The film is still running in theatres.
