The makers of debut director Selvah Kumar Thirumaaran's Family Padam dropped the film's trailer and its release date on Saturday.

The trailer video shows a middle class family that unitedly help one of the three siblings make his debut film. Why is the family compelled to make a film will only be known upon its release. The glimpse only shows the family's bid to make the film, while other aspects are kept under wraps.

The makers have planned to release the film in theatres on December 6.

The film, written and directed by Selvah Kumar Thirumaaran, wrapped filming earlier this year. Apart from Vivek Prasanna, Udhay and Vivek, the film also stars Subhiksha Kayarohanam, Parthiban Kumar, Sreeja Ravi, Mohana Sundharam, Kavin, Janani, Santhosh Kesavan and Arvind Janakiraman.

In a previous conversation with CE about the film, the director shared, "The story is about three brothers with a common goal. There are no on-your-face villains or emphasis on one particular actor."

Family Padam is backed by K Balaji of UK Creations and is co-produced by R Chinnappan and Nadish A. The technical crew comprises cinematographer Meiyendran, music director Anivee, and editor R Sudharshan.
