Disney+ Hotstar is all set to make one of Tamil television's most-loved show Office into a full-fledged web series. The series, a Hotstar Specials, will be a reimagined version of the iconic 2013 workplace romantic comedy under the same name.

Interestingly, Disney+ Hotstar's decision to revive the television series into a web series comes in the wake of the success of Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, another iconic television series that was revived and revamped to suit the tastes of the digital audience.

For the uninitiated, Office, featured actors Karthik Raj, Shruthi Raj, Vishnu, Madhumila, Udhayabhanu Maheswaran, Suzane George, Sidharth and Anbazhagan in pivotal roles.

The 562-episode series, directed by Ram Vinayak, primarily revolved around the lives of employees of an IT firm. Now, the same series is set to be made with a brand-new cast and a reimagined setting, which will offer a modern take on the relatable workplace drama while retaining the essence of the original.

The cast of the new series and a release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
