Following the strongly-worded letter from Nayanthara to Dhanush over pressing damages over usage of three-second BTS footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Dhanush's banner Wunderbar Films, in her Netflix documentary in Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, her husband and director Vignesh Shivan shared an old clip of Dhanush speaking about selfishness and hating others.
On his Instagram, Vignesh Shivan posted one of Dhanush's audio launch speeches where the actor was seen talking about how hating someone is not an extension of loving someone else and urged his fans not to be envious about others' success and to live and let live. The video was attached with the notice issued by Dhanush's counsel seeking Rs 10 crores as damages for using the three-second footage, shot on Nayanthara's device according to her claims, in the documentary. However, Vignesh later retraced the post.
Kollywood turned into a battlefield on Saturday with Nayanthara launching salvos against her Yaaradi Nee Mohini co-star. Some actors took Nayanthara's side, who interestingly co-starred with Dhanush, while others called this a 'marketing strategy' ahead of the documentary's release on November 18. Those who back Dhanush asked why Nayanthara is complaining now ahead of the documentary's release when she claims she was struggling to obtain the no objection certificate (NOC) for using some songs and footage from the film for the past two years.
Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale is all set to premiere on Netflix on November 18, on the occasion of the actor's birthday. The actor is also awaiting the release of Test, Mannangatti Since 1960 and is working on Toxic, Mookuthi Amman 2, Dear Students, and a film with Kavin.
