We had reported earlier this year that RJ Balaji will team up with Sidharth Vishwanathan for Sorgavaasal. The film's recently released teaser showed Balaji's character struggling during his prison term.

The latest update from the film is that it would get a theatrical release on November 29. According to the earlier released promotional materials, the film is expected to take place in 1999 in Chennai, where Balaji is expected to commit a jailbreak.

Apart from the above-mentioned characters, the film also stars Natty, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson.

Sorgavaasal is written by Thamizh Praba, Ashwin Ravichandran and director Sidharth Vishwanath. It is to be noted that the director is an erstwhile assistant of noted filmmaker Pa Ranjith.

On the technical crew, the film has music by Christo Xavier, cinematography by Prince Anderson, editing by Selva RK and art direction by S Jayachandran. Sorgavaasal is backed by Think Studios and Swipe Right Studio.

The film will release along with Siddharth and Ashika Ranganath's Miss You.
