Ever since the release of Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's Amaran, the film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy has been receiving positive responses from fans, critics as well as from noted celebrities.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Rajinikanth who conveyed his appreciation to Kamal Haasan for producing the film and to the team of Amaran including actor Sivakarthikeyan, director Rajkumar Periasamy, producer Mahendran, cinematographer Sai and others for their work in the action drama. The actor met the cast and crew in person and congratulated them.

Our CE review of the film reads, "Sivakarthikeyan will no doubt secure many plaudits for his physical transformation, for owning the action scenes and the motivational speeches… but I caught myself being especially impressed with how he seemed to radiate an effortless sense of goodness and vulnerability, despite his job requiring him to be an alpha male at all times. The film also stars Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh and Rahul Bose as Mukund's Commanding Officer, Colonel Amit Singh Dabas. Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman and Gaurav Venkatesh round up the supporting cast. Amaran is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Millitary. The film earned Rs 42.3 crores on its opening day worldwide.

Amaran's crew includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. The film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.
