After receiving a rousing reception at the Berlin International Film Festival, Soori and Anna Ben's Kottukkaali has been selected to compete at the Transilvania International Film Festival.

Actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan, who is backing the film under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions in association with The Little Wave Productions, shared the news on his social media handles announcing the same.

Kottukkaali is directed by PS Vinothraj, who last helmed Koozhangal which won the Tiger Award at International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2021. Kottukkaali was the first Tamil film to have premiered at Berlin Film Festival.

The film marks Soori's second film as a lead, as he debuts as a lead with Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai. For Anna Ben, the film will mark her debut in the Tamil film industry. Sakthi is handling cinematography, while Ganesh Siva is taking care of editing.
