A day after director Nelson Dilipkumar announced the launch of his production company Filament Pictures, actor Kavin, who is awaiting the release of his film Star, has shared a post hinting he would be a part of the banner's first film.

Nelson on Wednesday launched his own banner calling it his "constant wish". He said in an official statement that he would make an announcement of Filament Pictures' first project on May 3. Kavin too in his post wrote, "An announcement straight from the heart. Deeply personal and close to my core. Tomorrow!"

On what kind of movies his banner would produce, Nelson said, "At Filament Pictures, our primary goal is to produce creative and interesting content that entertains a wider audience. We're kicking off with a project that perfectly embodies our vision and promises to be quirky and fun-filled."

Nelson last directed Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, which was released on August, 2023. He was rumoured to be working on the sequel to the film, but he clarified that he himself is not sure if Jailer 2 will be his next project and fans should wait for the official announcement.

Meanwhile, Kavin will next be seen in Elan's Star, which is releasing on May 10. Aaditi Pohankar and Preity Mukundan will be seen opposite Kavin.
