Helmed by debut filmmaker Venki, the film stars Sathish in the lead

Sathish's latest outing at the theatres, Vithaikkaaran, is now available to stream on Prime Video. The film is written and directed by debut filmmaker Venki, an erstwhile assistant of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vithaikkaaran hit theatres on February 23 and opened to mixed reviews.

An excerpt from the review of Vithaikkaaran reads, "Sathish’s restrained performance as Vetri isn’t enough to save this act that is bland and lacks a punch to hold its audience’s attention span. I often found myself drifting away with the convoluted screenplay in the second half that tries to add humour, wittiness and action in scenes that are already all over the place. To make it simple, all the henchmen move around in circles even when the act is already done."

Simran Gupta, Anandraj, Madhusudhan, Subramaniam Siva, John Vijay, Pavel Navageethan, and Japan Kumar, among others, are also part of the cast. The film is bankrolled by Vijay Pandi of White Carpet Films. With music by VBR, Vithaikkaaran has cinematography by Yuva Karthick and editing by Arul E Siddharth.
