On Monday, actor Rana Daggubati took to his official Instagram handle to share an update regarding his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, Vettaiyan. The actor announced that he has begun filming for the upcoming TJ Gnanavel directorial.

Vettaiyan is all set to feature Amitabh Bachchan alongside Rajinikanth after 43 years. The legendary actor was last seen sharing screen space with Rajinikanth in the 1991 Hindi film Hum.

Apart from Rana, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, the extended ensemble cast of Vettaiyan includes Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh. The film, bankrolled by Lyca Productions went on floors in October last year.

Vettaiyan has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It will mark Anirudh Ravichander's fourth work as a composer in a Rajinikanth film. The musician had earlier played keys for Rajinikanth's Petta, Darbar, and Jailer.

Meanwhile, Rana was last seen in a cameo in Spy last year. He was the presenter for two films, Pareshan and Keeda Cola, and also produced Maya Bazaar For Sale, last year.
