Director Rajes Khanna's film Mayan, starring Malaysian actor Vinod and Bindu Madhavi, which was under production for a few years, finally gets a release window.

The makers have announced that the film will be released in July, without specifying a date.

The director will also produce the film under his Fox & Crow Studios banner. Mayan also stars Piaa Bajpai, Priyanka Arul Mohan, John Vijay, Aadukalam, Dheena, Raja Simman, Ganja Karuppu, and Sivaranjini. Jones Rupert Niranjan, will be introduced as the music composer in this film.

In an earlier conversation with CE, director Rajes said that the film is based on Lord Shiva and the ancient Mayan civilisation. "This will be the first full-blown commercial Tamil film to also be made in English. All the actors except the leading lady have been retained for both the versions," he said.

The film, which is made both in Tamil and English, will have characters speaking in English, commonly spoken in India, and will not be anglicised.
