A day after the announcement that filmmaker Vishnuvardhan will be returning to Tamil cinema with Nesippaya, starring debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar, the makers have given an update about the film.

Accordingly, the first look of the film featuring Arjun (Akash) and Diya (Aditi) would be revealed on Friday, June 28.

Nesippaya will be backed by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators, who previously made Vijay's Master in 2021. The film also stars Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kushboo Sundar, Kalki Koechlin, and Shiv Panditt, among others. The technical crew of the film comprises cinematographers Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson, along with editor Sreekar Prasad, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, production designer Saravanan Vasanth, and lyricist Pa Vijay.

The makers are yet to reveal details regarding the plot and release date.

Vishnuvardhan last made Shershaah (2021) with Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead, while his last Tamil film Yatchan, starring Arya and Krishna, was made in 2015. Aditi Shankar, meanwhile, was last seen in the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran last year.
