After tasting success as a director and actor with the Nayanthara-starrer Mookuthi Amman, RJ Balaji takes the 'Amman' route again.

Speculations are making the rounds that the RJ-turned-filmmaker will next team up with Trisha to direct the film, according to SIIMA, titled Maasani Amman.

However, no one involved in the speculation has confirmed this report yet.

The actor-director, who celebrates his 39th birthday today, has joined Million Dollar Studios' third project, after Good Night and Lover, tentatively titled Production No. 3. The makers released a poster that featured RJ Balaji looking eeriely into the camera with a cigarette in one hand and a lighter in another. There are bloodstains on his shirt and coat. There are other elements, like a cake in front of him that has a blood-stained knife pierced into it, while an alcohol bottle is also seen nearby. We can also see a gun with a few bullets, a hammer, and a few blades surrounding it.

Details about the cast, crew, and director of the film are yet to be disclosed.

RJ Balaji was last seen in Singapore Saloon, which was released earlier this year. Directed by Gokul, the film starred Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Sathyaraj, Lal, Kishen Das, Ann Sheetal, Thalaivasal Vijay, John Vijay, and Robo Shankar formed the supporting cast of the film.
