The makers of Vetri's Aalan unveiled the first single from the film, titled 'Yaazhisaye' on Sunday. Composed by Manoj Krishna, the soft melody is crooned by Chinmayi while Karthick Netha has penned the verses.

Aalan is written and directed by Sivs R. In an earlier conversation with CE, the director said, "Aalan will be a love story told through the lens of spirituality and literature. Of late we have been seeing a lot of violence onscreen in Tamil cinema and amid this, we wanted to tell a love story. The film will show the life of a boy since he was 15 to the age of 40. As he aspires to be a writer, a path suddenly pushes him into spirituality. Does love change him or not is the story.” The director has previously helmed Karotiyin Kadhali.

Aalan will also feature German-origin actor Madhura. The supporting cast of the film includes Aruvi Madhankumar, Lal, Vivek Prasanna, and Karunakaran among others. The film has been shot in locations like Rishikesh, Kasi, Kodaikanal, Puducherry, and Chennai.

Aalan has cinematography by Vindhan Stalin and editing by Kasiviswanathan. 3S Pictures is backing the film. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
