Actor Prashanth's Andhagan, the official remake of the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Andhadhun, after much delay, finally got a release window in August.

The makers of the film have announced that the teaser video will be released across theatres today. The announcement came with a new poster where a woman, supposedly Simran, looks at Prashanth in a broken piece of glass.

In the remake of Sriram Raghavan's 2018 film, other members of the cast are Priya Anand, Karthik, Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, and Vanitha Vijayakumar, among others.

Andhadhun was remade in Telugu as Maestro starring Nithiin, Tamannaah, and Nabha Natesh, and in Malayalam as Bhramam, with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the lead.

Andhagan, directed by Prashanth's father and veteran director Thiagarajan and bankrolled by Staar Movies, has a technical crew consisting of cinematographer Ravi Yadav, editor Sathish Suriya, and music composer Santhosh Narayanan.
