Actor Trisha, will be seen playing the titular role in her first webseries, Brinda, which will begin streaming on Sony Liv.

The series' teaser was dropped by the makers on Wednesday.

The teaser video begins with a ritual that has a minor girl tied up, which is shown in between several cuts. The narration goes like, "The biggest inner battle is not against your baser qualities, but it is against your innate goodness, preventing it from leaving you."

The voice then tells Brinda to leave the planet as a better place than when she came to it. The glimpse has it that the lead, played by Trisha, is pushed to the extent of taking up arms to combat a big and all-pervasive evil.

The supporting cast of Brinda includes actors like Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli, among others. The upcoming thriller-drama is directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, who has also penned the story and co-written the screenplay in association with Padmavathi Malladi. Dialogues are penned by Jay Krishna. Shakti Kanth Karthik has composed the songs and background score for the show. Avinash Kolla is the production designer, and Dinesh K Babu is the cinematographer. The editing is helmed by Anwar Ali.

Produced by Kolla Ashish under the banner of Adding Advertising, Brinda will begin streaming on Sony Liv from August 2 onwards. Besides Tamil, the series will also be available in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.
