Actor Kamal Haasan paid rich tributes to legendary filmmaker K Balachander on the latter's 94th birth anniversary today.

In his video tribute, Kamal said he doesn't require a special day or an occasion to talk about KB, as people who know him will testify that not a single day of his life passes without referring to the filmmaker. He added that his tribute is not a display of his gratitude for having been nurtured by KB; even if he hadn't known him, he would have still been grateful for his contribution towards the art, as there are score of other actors and technicians to mouth the exact words he is uttering.

Kamal went on to describe Balachander's birthday as the day when their knowledge of cinema was enriched.
