On Sunday, Lyca Productions, the makers of Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, announced that Fahadh Faasil has begun dubbing for the upcoming film. Previously, in May, it was announced that Rajinikanth wrapped shooting for his portions in the film. Vettaiyan is currently in the post-production stage.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, who shot to fame directing the Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim (2021), the much-anticipated film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan.

It is to be noted that Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are reuniting for a film after 33 years. Their collaboration dates back to films like Andhaa Kaanoon (1983), and Geraftaar (1985). Their last film was Hum, which was released in 1991.

Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh Ravichander. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Previously, the musician had composed for Rajinikanth's Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. Other members of the technical crew include cinematographer S R Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.

Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theatres in October.
