First single 'Panangarukka' from Vemal's Sir out

The makers of Vemal's Sir, directed by Bose Venkat, have released the first single. Titled 'Panangarukka', The song has been sung by GV Prakash Kumar along with Saindhavi with lyrics by Viveka.

Sir is the second film in which Vemal plays a teacher, with the first one being the National Award-winning Vaagai Sooda Vaa.

The teaser, which was released a few weeks ago, showed a man possessed by a purported divine entity running to a school land and earmarking it, for which it has to be demolished. Vemal, who is the school's teacher, stands in the way of powerful people trying to reduce the building to rubble.

Apart from Vemal, Sir also stars Chaya Devi Kannan, Siraj S, Saravanan, Rama and Jayabalan in prominent roles.

The film was earlier titled Ma Po Si. The makers recently announced their decision to rename the film Sir "after careful consideration and planning to align with our vision for the project."

On the technical team, Sir has music by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Iniyan J Harish and editing by Sreejith Sarang. The film is Siraj S and Nilofer Siraj under the production banner SSS Pictures.
