Tamil cinema lovers are brimming with excitement over Rajinikanth's next with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie, which is set to go on floors this month.

Social media was in full activity over the recent look of actor Sathyaraj, which is going viral. The actor could be seen sporting fully white hair with a bun and a salt and pepper beard, along with coolers.

While some suggest this is the actor's look for Coolie, others believe it is for Salman Khan's Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. But neither of the production houses backing the respective films has revealed Sathyaraj's look.

Early today, Lokesh Kanagaraj officially announced that cinematographer Girish Gangadharan has onboarded Coolie, and casting updates will be made in the days to come.

Rajinikanth will be joined by Sathyaraj after 38 years since Mr Bharath. Details of the rest of the cast and plot are kept under wraps.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Philomin Raj, stunts by Anbariv, and production design by Sathees Kumar. The dialogues for the film are written by Lokesh along with Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
