Kalki Koechlin to play a Portugal-based lawyer in Vishnuvardhan's Nesippaya

The romantic feature stars debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar in lead roles

Filmmaker Vishnuvardhan's upcoming romantic feature Nesippaya, starring debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar, was recently announced by the production banner XB Film Creators. According to a report on IANS, actor Kalki Koechlin will be seen playing a Portugal-based lawyer in the upcoming film.

The actor is said to be seen as Indira, a lawyer, who plays a prominent part in moving the narrative forward.

Kalki made her debut in Tamil cinema with the remake of Pink, Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai directed by H Vinoth. She then went on to feature alongside Anjali in a segment of the Netflix anthology, Paava Kadhaigal, directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Nesippaya will be backed by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators, who previously made Vijay's Master in 2021. The film also stars Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kushboo Sundar, and Shiv Panditt, among others.

The technical crew of the Nesippaya comprises cinematographers Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson, along with editor Sreekar Prasad, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, production designer Saravanan Vasanth, and lyricist Pa Vijay.

Meanwhile, Kalki is currently shooting for her international film Her Story, at Antichan-des-Frotignes in the Pyrenees. She portrays a self-deprecating American writer in the film.
