The makers of GV Prakash's Kalvan released the film's teaser on Saturday. The upcoming film is backed by Axess Film Factory, and directed by cinematographer PV Shankar. 

The film's teaser shows how GV Prakash and others are affected by elephants from a nearby forest, who attack their village during the night. The film has been mostly shot in and around the Sathyamangalam forest reserve. 

Ivana, Bharathiraja and Dheena play prominent parts in the film which is planned for a theatrical release during Summer this year. It is worth mentioning that the music director-turned-actor and Ivana had earlier worked together in the Bala directorial Naachiyar. Others part of the cast include G Gnanasambandam, Vinoth Munna, Jenson Dhivakar, Prasanna Balachandran and Nivedita.

Director PV Shankar and Ramesh Aiyappan have jointly scripted Kalvan. Interestingly, the director is handling the film's cinematography as well. Besides playing the lead, GV Prakash has also composed music for the film. Reva has composed the background score for Kalvan. 

G Dilli Babu is backing Kalvan under the banner of Axess Film Factory.
