The makers of Bramayugam released the film's teaser on Thursday. The upcoming film, starring Mammootty and Arjun Ashokan in the lead roles, is directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who previously helmed Bhoothakaalam. 

The teaser is presented in black and white, showcasing an eerie environment. Arjun Ashokan's character, wearing mundu, enters an old-fashioned house, which might hint at the story's timeline. We also get glimpses of other characters, including Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R. Achari. As the teaser progresses towards the end, we see Mammootty with a menacing look, which instils intrigue. We learn that Arjun has come to meet Mammootty, and it seems they might have some sort of conflict.

According to the makers, Bramayugam is a horror thriller set in the dark ages of Kerala. The film is scripted by Rahul Sadasivan, with dialogues by award-winning novelist TD Ramakrishnan.

Bramayugam is the debut production of Y Not Studios' newly launched banner, Night Shift Studios, which focuses exclusively on horror thrillers. Besides Malayalam, the film is planned to be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
