Selvaraghavan joins Dhanush's Raayan cast

He becomes the latest director to join the film's cast after SJ Suryah

Through an X post, director Selvaraghavan confirmed that he is acting in Dhanush's next film Raayan. Earlier, there were rumours that Selvaraghavan would script the film, but he confirmed that this is not true. A director known for films such as Kaadhal Kondein (2003), 7G Rainbow Colony (2004), Pudhupettai (2006), Selvaraghavan made his acting debut in the recent Vijay-starrer BeastDhanush himself starred in Thulluvadho Ilamai, Selvaraghavan’s first film as a director.

Raayan is also the first occasion where Dhanush will direct his brother. The film also stars Sundeep Kishan, Dhanush's co-star in Captain Miller, Kalidas Jayaram, and SJ Suryah. On the technical front, AR Rahman will compose music for Raayan, while Om Prakash will handle the cinematography and Prasanna GK will edit the film.

Raayan is touted as a pan-India film, with simultaneous releases in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. It is the actor's 50th film in his career.
