Earlier, we reported that actor Vetri will be headlining a Tamil film titled Aalan helmed by Siva R. On Sunday, the makers announced that the film's shoot has been wrapped.

In an earlier conversation with CE, the director said, "Aalan will be a love story told through the lens of spirituality and literature. Of late we have been seeing a lot of violence onscreen in Tamil cinema and amid this, we wanted to tell a love story. The film will show the life of a boy since he was 15 to the age of 40. As he aspires to be a writer, a path suddenly pushes him into spirituality. Does love change him or not is the story.” The director has previously helmed Karotiyin Kadhali. 

Aalan will also feature German-origin actor Madhura. The supporting cast of the film includes Aruvi Madhankumar, Lal, Vivek Prasanna, and Karunakaran among others. The film has been shot in locations like Rishikesh, Kasi, Kodaikanal, Puducherry, and Chennai. 

Aalan has music scored by Manoj Krishna and cinematography by Vindhan Stalin. Kasiviswanathan is the editor. 3S Pictures is backing the film. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
