Director Vishnu Varadhan is coming back to Tamil cinema, as confirmed by XB Film Creators, the makers of his next film with late actor Murali’s son, Akash. Vishnu, who won the National Award last year for his Hindi feature Shershah, has been on a break from Tamil cinema since the 2015 Arya-starrer Yatchan. The filmmaker is best known for movies such as Arindhum Ariyamalum and Billa.

His film is expected to be a romance story, and its shoot has been wrapped up. The film was shot in locations like Chennai, Bengaluru, Spain, and Portugal. The untitled movie, which stars Aditi Shankar opposite Akash Murali, is produced by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators. The cast also includes Khushbu Sundar, Prabhu Ganesan, Sarath Kumar, Shiv Panditt, George Kora, and Kalki Koechlin. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, editing by Sreekar Prasad, cinematography by Cameron Bryson, and stunt choreography by Federico Cueva.

A release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers; further details about the movie are awaited.
