The makers of Kayal-fame Anandhi's Mangai unveiled the film's trailer, on Wednesday. Helmed by first-time filmmaker Gubenthiran Kamatchi, the film is backed by AR Jaffer Sadiq under the JSM Pictures banner.

The trailer shows an innocent Anandhi's Mangai being framed for immoral behaviour. However, she doesn't flinch or break down and puts all her might into proving herself.

In a previous conversation with CE, Gubenthiran shared about Mangai, "It focuses on men, especially those who objectify women who are not a part of their family. This film tries to explore differences other than biological factors between men and women, and why the latter are denied opportunities that the former easily get."

A drama film, Mangai also stars Dushi, Rams, and Adithya Kathir in supporting roles. The technical crew of the film includes cinematographer S J Star, music composer Theeson, and editor Parthiban Antony.

Mangai has been extensively shot in locations including Munnar, and Pooparai in Kerala, Theni, Cumbum, Kudalur, Lower Camp, and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The film, which is currently in the final stages of production, is gearing up for a release in March.
