Chess player Gukesh is basking in his recent achievement of becoming the youngest undisputed World Chess Championship. After the remarkable feat, the 18-year-old prodigy was honoured by leaders of several states, sports personalities and film celebrities.

Actors Rajinikanth and Sivakarthikeyan were the latest to join the nation in celebrating the teen's success. Gukesh was invited by Rajinikanth to his residence, where he was feted. Rajini wore Gukesh a shawl and gifted the book 'Autobiography of a Yogi'.

Sivakarthikeyan, meanwhile, decided to celebrate the occasion with Gukesh cutting a chess-themed cake. The Amaran actor also gifted Gukesh a wristwatch.

Photos of both the actors honouring Gukesh are flooding the internet.

Gukesh upstaged China's Ding Liren, scoring an incredible three wins to two and nine draws in the 14 classical rounds of the 2024 World Chess Championship held between November 25 and December 12 in Singapore. With this victory, Gukesh became the youngest world champion, with Ukrainian Ruslan Ponomariov being slightly younger when he won the FIDE World Chess Championship in 2002.
