Ahead of the theatrical release of Varun Dhawan-Kalees' film Baby John, actor-politician Vijay has wished the film's cast a crew.

It is well known that the Hindi film, produced by Vijay's regular collaborator Atlee, is based on actor-director duo's Theri (2016). While they first joined hands with this action film, they went on to combine for Mersal (2017) and Bigil (2019).

Vijay took to his X handle to wish the team "a blockbuster success" upon its release tomorrow (December 25).

Responding to Vijay's message, Varun Dhawan thanked the actor and said, "We will always remain babies near you." Atlee wrote, "Love you na (brother), thank you soooo much. It means a lot to us."

It is worth noting that in a recent event, Dhawan said that despite Baby John being based on Theri, it is not a book-by-book remake of the Tamil film.

Directed by Kalees, the action-thriller also stars Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles. It is shot by Kiran Koushik, edited by Ruben and Thaman S handles the music. The film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee and Jyoti Deshpande.
