Even as actor Ajith and director Magizh Thirumeni's film Vidaamuyarchi gears up for its Pongal release, its banner Lyca Productions has made another cast announcement. Ramya Subramanian is the new addition to the cast, which already includes the likes of Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarca, and Regina Cassandra. More commonly known as VJ Ramya, the actor previously played a reporter on the Ajith-starrer Mankatha.

Described as a road thriller, Vidaamuyarchi has mostly been shot in Azerbaijan. However, the makers of the film are yet to reveal any plot or character details. They dropped a trailer in late November that teased a film set in a desert with plenty of intensity and exciting action sequences, featuring Ajith.

The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Om Prakash, editing by NB Srikanth, and action by Supreme Sundar. Ajith also has wrapped his portions for Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. Good Bad Ugly is also set for a Pongal release, but the film's producer Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers hinted at its postponement at a recent event for Pushpa 2: The Rule promotions.

Vidaamuyarchi, meanwhile, has entered its final leg of production.
