Days after the makers of Mazaiyil Nanaigiren informed that they are pushing the release date owing to the heavy rain prediction issued for Tamil Nadu, the film, on Monday, got a new release date.

Accordingly, the film, starring Anson Paul and Reba John, will release in theatres on December 27, alongside Thambi Ramaiah-Samuthirakani's Rajakili.

The trailer glimpse, that released recently, is suggesting that the film could very well be following the regular boy-falls-for-girl-and-gets-her trope of Tamil cinema. It is yet to be known if that is what the film will offer or if the screenplay has some surprises that will make this usual story interesting.

Mazaiyil Nanaigiren has a story, screenplay, and direction by T Suresh Kumar. The film also stars Mathew Varghese, Anupama Kumar, Sankarguru Raja, Sujatha Panju, Vetrivel Raja, and Kishore Kumar, among others. Mazaiyil Nanaigiren is backed by Sreevidhya Rajesh and B Rajesh Kumar under the Rajshree Ventures banner.

The technical crew of Mazaiyil Nanaigiren also includes cinematographer J Kalyan and editor G B Venkatesh. Viji and Kavin Pandiyan have penned the dialogue for the upcoming film.
