As actor Rukmini Vasanth turns 28 today, the makers of her upcoming Tamil film Ace, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, released a glimpse of her character from the film.

Rukmini's glimpse from the film, which is said to revolve around gambling, had visuals only of hers. It had nothing to giveaway except that the film is also set in Malaysia. She plays Rukku in the film. Ace marks the Sapta Saagaradaache Ello actor's Tamil debut, besides starring in as the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan's next, directed by AR Murugadoss, tentatively titled SKxARM/SK23.

The glimpse also teased with the film's first single.

Rukmini Vasanth made her debut with the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni (2019), by director MG Srinivas. She rose to prominence with the 2023 two-part films Sapta Saagaradaache Ello—Side A and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello—Side B, directed by Hemanth M Rao, where she plays opposite Rakshit Shetty. She was last seen in Shivarajkumar's hit film Bhairathi Ranagal, a prequel to the 2017 film Mufti.

Ace also stars Yogi Babu, PS Avinash, Divya Pillai, Bablu and Rajkumar, among others, in prominent roles. Touted to be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, the film is expected to have a blend of romance, action, comedy, and sentiment in its story.

On the technical team, Ace has music composed by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Karan Bahadur Rawat, and editing by R Govindaraj. The makers are yet to give an official release date for the film.
