The latest to join the technical crew of RJ Balaji-Suriya's upcoming project Suriya 45 is cinematographer GK Vishnu.

The makers gave an official announcement about the same on Sunday. Vishnu, who made his debut as a cinematographer with the web series Ctrl Alt Del (2016), made his feature debut with Vijay-Atlee's Mersal (2017). He went on to work in hits like Bigil (2019), Khiladi (2022) and Jawan (2023).

Touted to be an action-adventure film, Suriya 45 is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, which has bankrolled critically acclaimed blockbusters like Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, and Farhana. According to the makers, the yet-to-be-titled film will be the most expensive in the production house's line-up till date. Details regarding the rest of the cast members have been kept under wraps.

Suriya 45 will have music by AR Rahman. The Academy Award-winning composer has previously scored music for Suriya's hit films like Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Aayudha Ezhuthu, and 24. Up next, the actor also has Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is currently in the post-production stage.

RJ Balaji last made Veetla Vishesham in 2022. On the acting front, he was recently seen in Sorgavaasal, directed by Siddharth Vishwanath, that released on November 29. He has another film in the pipeline, Happy Ending, with director Ammamuthu Surya, which is yet to go on floors. Both the films are helmed by debutant filmmakers.
