The makers of Kuzhandhaigal Munnetra Kazhagam (KMK), starring Senthil and Yogi Babu, released the lyrical video of the first single 'Politics Therlana Boomeru' on Friday.

The fun number soft-peddles political messages while maintaining the childlike tonality. Composed by Shankar, 'Politics Therlana Boomeru' is sung by GV Prakash Kumar and written by the film's director Shankar Dayal.

The film, as the title suggests, is expected to deal with politics with a special appeal to the children. Apart from Senthil and Yogi Babu, the film also stars Lizzie Antony.

Shankar Dayal made his directorial debut with the Karthi starrer Saguni in 2012. He last made the Vishnu Vishal, Catherine Tresa and Sri Divya starrer Veera Dheera Sooran in 2016 and is making a return to Tamil cinema after several years. Shankar is also producing the film with Arunkumar Sammantham under the Meenakshi Amman Movies banner.

This is the first time the director is collaborating with Senthil and Yogi Babu. Yogi was last seen in Suriya's Kanguva and Prabhudeva's Jolly O Gymkhana. He has Gajaana, Medical Miracle, The Raja Saab, Ace and Malai in the pipeline. Actor Senthil was seen in a supporting role in Lal Salaam, a sports action film by Aishwarya Rajinikanth starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, with Rajinikanth playing an extended cameo.
